GOP Caucus Night

The very basis of the Utah political system is the Caucus System. It is a system that is the envy of states across the nation. It is also the time when every citizen in Utah may "caucus" or meet with their neighbors and friends in their precinct (I live in Orem 28 as an example) to elect leadership, as well as state and county delegates to participate in the convention.
The responsibility of those leaders and delegates will be then to actively meet with, investigate and choose which candidate they think will best represent the Republican Party in the upcoming races.
This year, 2012, is an historic year in America. On top of being a presidential race year, we have Senator Orrin Hatch up for re-election, and every one of our state representatives up for re-election as well.
More importantly, we are indeed in the battle for the soul of America. My own father told me to always be vigilant, that as an American citizen I had great privileges, and even greater responsibilities. Attending caucus night is one of those responsibilities, and indeed, one of those great privileges.
